Cultural Participation Fund
At the Cultural Participation Fund, we believe in the power of culture to connect us. Everyone in the Kingdom of the Netherlands should be able to actively participate in the arts and culture whether they live in Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten or the Netherlands. This is why we run various schemes that offer financial support to cultural and social projects, cooperate with partners and share knowledge. We focus on three pillars: cultural education in and around school, amateur arts and co-creation.
For example, we support projects in which children learn to play the guitar at school and that help young people develop themselves creatively in street art or hip-hop. Organisations that teach folk dance to new generations can also turn to us. Community centres that engage with local residents in need of support through the development of cultural offerings can also apply to us. In a nutshell, we support projects that contribute to a strong, healthy and resilient society for everyone in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
From Amsterdam to Appingedam and from Wilnis to Willemstad. Culture belongs to every member of Dutch society. Together, we can ensure that arts and culture are accessible to all.
