Mondriaan Fund
The Mondriaan Fund is the incentive fund for the visual arts and heritage sector in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. With over 65 committed colleagues and a changing pool of advisors from the field, we ensure that your subsidy application is carefully processed and we organize a variety of activities.
Every year, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, we invest approximately 35 million euros in hundreds of activities, projects and programs from almost 1,100 applicants. We process more than 2,800 subsidy applications annually and continuously ensure a solid and representative visual arts and heritage sector.
In this way, we contribute to the plans of artists, curators and the realization of projects and activities of museums and other heritage institutions, art venues, archives, galleries and clients at home and abroad. We provide support, flow, innovation, talent development and actively seek connections with the public and all regions of the Kingdom. In addition, we are responsible for the Dutch entry to the Venice Biennale, we organize the Prix de Rome, the talent exhibition Prospects during Art Rotterdam and we provide international exchange in the form of organized trips and an active visitors program. We stimulate research and writing essays.
