Film Festival
For who?
The Film Festival Scheme focuses on film festivals with a diverse programme of professional national and international films of artistic and content merit, which allow visitors and film professionals to gain greater insight into and learn about new developments in the cinematic field.
Applications can be made by legal entities specialised in the field of film (i.e. not sole proprietorships or VOFs [general partnerships]) from the Kingdom of the Netherlands responsible for the organisation of a film festival taking place in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This legal entity must have organised at least 2 editions of the festival in the 4 years preceding the application.
For what?
The Fund aims to use this scheme to strengthen the film sector and encourage the dissemination, knowledge development, profiling and promotion of professional cinematographic offerings in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This includes a special focus on films from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and creating opportunities for creators and audiences to meet.
The organisation of a film festival may be eligible for a project grant for 1 film festival edition. It is also possible to apply for a 2-year project grant, allowing 2 editions of the same film festival.
