Scout Night ABCSSS
For who?
Starting designers or creators based in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten.
For what?
Scout Night ABCSSS is aimed at designers and creators who are developing cultural or artistic products independently and who want to strengthen and professionalise their nascent practice.
How much?
If you are selected during the scout night you will receive €1,000 and guidance creating a development plan. On the strength of this plan, you will be awarded a grant of €25,000, which you can use for its implementation.
How and when to apply?
Register for the scout night by sending a short video by email to scoutnightsABCSSS@stimuleringsfonds.nl. Use this video to tell us who you are, what you create and how long you have been doing this for. Also attach your contact information, CV and a few images of your work to your email. These may include sketches or a link to a website.
During scout night you pitch your plan. The jury will select a number of creators from these pitches, who will each receive €1,000 to draw up a development plan under the guidance of the Creative Industries Fund NL. You will then be awarded a €25,000 grant to actually implement this plan.

Good to know
- Scout night is intended for designers and creators at the start of their careers. These might be fashion designers, animators and cartoonists, art directors, or media and digital artists. But creative entrepreneurs working on issues around climate, nature, food, heritage and sharing underexposed stories are also eligible.
- You can prepare for scout night by taking part in one of our orientation sessions. These sessions will provide more information about the application process and advice on pitching your plans. Take a look at the Creative Industries Fund NL website for more information on these sessions.
- Scout night takes place once a year on one of the islands. Participants who do not live on the island in question will be awarded an allowance for travel and accommodation.
