Interdisciplinary Organisation
NB If you are an individual maker with an interdisciplinary practice, please see Interdisciplinary Individual.
For whom?
Non-profit cultural organisations with legal personality, based in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
For what?
Applications can be submitted for an interdisciplinary project that engages an audience, is presented to an audience, or is open to the public. This may take the form of a presentation or an event.
An interdisciplinary project is understood as one in which various cultural disciplines are integrated, not merely presented side by side. It should involve the integration, interaction or fusion of or between at least two artistic disciplines within a single work, such as an artwork, performance, publication or film. The aim is to support projects that are not or not fully eligible for support under another scheme offered by any of the national cultural funds.
Applications may be submitted for interdisciplinary projects across all cultural disciplines, including: visual art, photography, design, digital culture, architecture, fashion, the performing arts, literature, film and documentary.
How much?
The contribution depends on the total project budget:
- A fixed contribution of € 12,500 for a project with a budget of € 15,000 to € 60,000.
- A fixed contribution of € 50,000 for a project with a budget of € 60,000 to € 500,000.
For more information, please refer to the explanation of the budget for Interdisciplinary Organisation.

Good to know
This scheme was developed through a collaboration between the 6 national cultural funds. The Mondriaan Fund acts as the lead fund for the scheme.
Due to limited resources, it is not always possible to fund all applications that receive a positive recommendation. If the available budget is insufficient to fund all positively assessed applications, these applications will be ranked according to the assessment criteria. This means that an application may receive a positive assessment but nevertheless not be awarded a contribution.
NB Please note that applications and decisions may be shared with the other national cultural funds for the purpose of checking for double funding and evaluating the effectiveness of the scheme.
More information about the conditions, assessment criteria and the information we need to process your application can be found via the button below on the Mondriaan Fund website. This information is available in Dutch and English.
