Film Fund Shorts
For who?
Film Fund Shorts focuses on directors who:
- have graduated by directing an assessed final film from an accredited programme in film studies; or
- are demonstrably active as professional directors without having had a professional training in film (self-taught) and have directed one or more independent film productions* or (parts of) drama series released in the Netherlands (theatrical release or on television) or been selected for national or international film festivals or curated streaming services.
For what?
Film Fund Shorts focuses on original, urgent and authentic short films by starting or experienced directors, focusing on cinematic exploration. The Film Fund seeks to encourage talent development through this scheme. Short films give filmmakers room to experiment with different styles and techniques, allowing them to discover and develop their own signature style.
